New to Netball?

Netball is one of the most popular sports for girls in the UK, with over 150 thousand women playing each week. There are seven players in a team, each with specific roles . A game is made up of four quarters each lasting 15 minutes. Netball is a fast paced, high scoring game requiring great skill, power and tactical decisions. Its popularity is reflected in it being the only female team sport to enjoy weekly regular television coverage on Sky Sports. As well as an exciting World Cup last year. We hope that the varsity series can be used as a platform to inspire others to join one of Britain’s favourite sports!

We’re ready to win!

Varsity is the event we have all been waiting for. Unbeaten in both the BUCS League and LUSL, we do not plan on making an exception for KCL this March. With an influx of high performance academy players from around the country, we are confident in avenging last year’s one goal defeat!

Last year’s match was certainly close and both teams have improved significantly this year. The results this year should be very exciting!

KCL Netball’s 1st team have been working hard to train up a fresh new team this year, with brilliant leadership from Captain Jessica Van Droogenbroeck. The girls will be working right up until the end whistle to secure a victory for Kings and continue KCL Netball’s win from last year!
